my daughter was sound asleep, she wakes up crying at the top of her lungs, gave her a bottle which she took but the screaming wouldn't stop, sounded like she was yelling "ouch" (she's 10 months) I rub her belly and back nothing works, try to give her gas relief but wouldn't take it, I decided to check her diaper for poop which she NEVER has so late at night but something told me it was bothering her, she had like an acidic poop, she now has a rash, wouldn't let me wipe or wash her from how bad it was hurting her, the second I laid her back down she knocked out...what causes these kind of poops? Any ideas mommies?
@andrrea, Awww I'm sorry... poor baby... I know when my 1st daughter was a baby something like this happened, and it was the apple juice that messed her stomach up. Hope she gets well soon!!!
@baby_lillis, it's very random when this happens, she had just a bottle and her usual food/snacks. @mommy_to_be.taylor I only use cornstarch (cooking one not baby powder) and it works miracles on her skin and it goes away within a day, after I put it on the crying stopped. I don't do creams they give her a rash, super sensitive skin, I tried a few when she was first born.
@dcb012, aww that poor baby. You have literally tried everything. I hope she grows out of it soon.
I've tried Aquaphore, Vaseline, coconut oil, tea tree oil, pampers diapers, huggies, luvs, cloth, no wipes, hypoallergenic wipes, self made wipes, no juice, no fruit, no acidic foods, A&D, nystatin, I have tried any and everything.... Her poop is just acidic. Even with cream on @mommy_to_be.taylor
@dcb012, have you tried putting some aquafor on her bottom after every diaper change. It helps so when she poops it's not directly on her skin. That's what the NICU uses on my son. And it works really good. @andrrea I would try using this as well to help if it happens again.
@baby_lillis, no I haven't, I honestly try to stay away from putting creams on her bottom, every time I would it'd only get worse which is what led me to start using cooking cornstarch powder and have been since she was about 2 months and rashes are so rare until she has her super random acidic poops but thanks!! Doesn't seem to be bothering her so far just gotta wait for it to go away now.
