So I wanna breastfed but im paranoid that I won't be able to produce any milk since I never leaked during my pregnancy. I know not every women does and sometimes it starts after baby is born but I'm still worried about it. Anyone else like this?!

as gross as this sounds , i dont leak noticably but i wake up with these crusties on my nipples . my midwife said you dont have to leak in order to breastfeed . so im hoping i produce enough for him to at least get some breastmilk as well .

Мама сына-младенца
I started leaking at 16 weeks, my ob said that was a good sign that I would be able to breast feed. I ended up not producing enough once E was born😕
Hannah Marie·
@vb95, oh dear 😐 that's another thing I'm afraid of. Isn't there recipes on food or something we could do to increase our production?!

There are definitely foods that help produce milk, and drink lots of water! My diet sucked after E was born and I know that contributed to it. I even started taking supplements. I had Elliot on a Friday and at the hospital I delivered at the lactation consultants didn't work on the weekend😑 and to top it off the hospital I delivered at was an hour away from where we lived at the time. They did classes during the week but it was just hard taking a newborn out in the winter @hannahbbtt

there are postnatal vitamins u can take to boost the milk production after baby is born
Hannah Marie·
@mrs.rcleveland, are they like prenatal that u take every day? I might look into those.

my mom said she used to put a tablespoon of yeast in oj and then drink it every day. Supposedly yeast increases your milk supply.

yes they r. u can look them up and see whats in them to. go to the american pregnancy association online
Hannah Marie·
@nicipicky, @mrs.rcleveland hmm I'm sure there's a lot of different things that will work. I didn't realize there so much to do with even breastfeeding, kinda overwhelming. But will definitely do some researching, thank u mamas.
