If my son is eating a lot and is never satisfied do you think we can or rice in his milk? He's 7…

I believe that's more of a personal issue. Maybe add a tiny bit and see how he handles it. I'm waiting until mine is 2 months to try it on my daughter but mine is also breastfed.

@rapunzel_304, my son is taking breast milk that I have stocked up...but like I mean he's NEVER happy after he eats he just wants more...and then cries himself to sleep...not colicky at all...so I'm thinking it's cuz he is still hungry

I wouldn't recommend it only because his digestive system may react to it and can make him sick. I would wait until he's three months.

But you could try the rice but also keep in mind his belly is growing and needs more milk.

Put him back on the boob to soothe him he may just want you near. My daughter gets like that when she's given the bottle but in reality she just wants the boobie lol

you can ask his doc about rice cereal my doc told me it was okay and my son is 7 weeks also. I only put a small pinch in his bed time bottle

@rapunzel_304, I'm actually on the middle of drying up :/ doctor is making me from having mastitis constantly he's been taking a bottle for the past three weeks lol I have enough breast Milk store till he is about 6 months

He is cluster feeding. Crying after finishing the breast milk means he's still hungry. He's going through a growth spurt. I never recommend rice cereal and neither does my dr

@santistevanmommie, it said cluster feeding is when they eat force the bottle away, cry and so on from there he doesn't do that he just wants to eat and eat he stops at 9 oz and that's like a ton and usually goes to sleep for 5 hours then wake back up and eat anither 9 lol

Aaaww! 😔 I'm sorry maybe try swaddling him while feeding with a dry diaper. It may comfort him.

Rice cereal sucks. For real. It's very harsh on a newborn's belly and it can make them SUPER constipated. I'd just stick with giving your baby more breast milk.

@sharonpaige13, regardless on what everyone has to say about baby cereals its your baby and some babies do very well on it. Not every baby is alike. It's all up to you! ☺️
