So, high fiber and water wasn't working. Neither was laxatives. They said my last option would be surgery if it didn't heal on its own, especially since I received a secondary fissure from one BM. The one pharmacy worker suggested I try suppositories again along with the Miralax. It made me not have to have a BM for 2 days. Well, I finally had one...and guess what? It was absolutely pain free! 😄 For the first time in 9 months I've been able to go #2 without crying, gripping something sharp, and feeling like I was passing razors instead of stool. For the first time in 9 months...that's crazy. I call that a big accomplishment. I'm going to keep up on this and see if it slowly heals 😊
P.S. Sorry for the TMI personal information. Lmao. I'm just excited and happy!

I had a 2 cm fissure after birth. That shrunk to about 1 1/2 cm after 3 months and by month 5 I had 2 fissures of equal sizes.

@vella89, They recommend basics...laxatives, no straining, high fiber and water, etc. None of that worked for me. This is the only thing that's worked. Didn't want to go to surgery unless it was absolutely necessary
