how long did it take your LO to hold there own bottle ? my daughter is 7 months & doesn't want to hold her bottle for nothing she will hold only if I'm holding it! is it soon ? or am I rushing things. #FTM
@sidanddelos15, Ugggh I see the in laws always have to interuppt or try to take control of your kid I have one of those too lol. and I agree it does get old after awhile like I have things to do & get done hahah but your right what can we do lmao.
Avent makes them, it's a small 5oz cup and it has a soft silicone nipple, it's shaped like the sippy cup ones! They're great, it teaches him to hold his cup and to drink when he wants it, and it's still soft for his gums. His pediatrician recommended it, so it can start getting him used to it for when he transitions from a bottle to a cup @mommakandiee
@vb95, It never crossed my mine to buy a sippie cup & put water in it I thought it was too soon lol what sippie cup do you suggest ? awww okay maybe I am rushing things but thanks soooo much!
lol i think so. it gets annoying and my father in law didn't give a choice but to hold his own food. like yeah let's piss him off instead of slowly encouraging him to do it cause that will work. @mommakandiee i don't always mind holding his bottle for him but it does get old. what can you do though?
Elliot is 7 months and will put his hands on it but won't hold it. His physical therapist said it's not a concern, some babies just don't hold their bottles. We give him a sippy cup with water that has the training handles, and he holds that just fine, and brings it up to his mouth to drink.
