I live in Texas and when I got Medicaid for my daughter I filed it when my SO and I weren't living together so they made us go to court even though neither of us wanted him on child support and during the process we moved in together (for other reasons other than this) and when we went to court we just told them that we live together and they said okay no child support since it would go to the same household. but like others have said before me, it depends on the state and your situation

But if he living with u they wanna know everyone in the household that's why they asked. U can say u don't want benefits for him but he just live there

Not all state put the father on child support is u get medical assistance or food stamps. I live in Maryland I work n I received food stamps n my daughter father not on child support. It all depends on ur state ur In n how they do things. Ppl saying this n that n don't know exactly what they talking about. My daughter about to be 11 n I received stamps this whole time. Never had to put him on child support. The only thing they ask me what was his name. Me n him been broken up about to be 10 years. Some states do put the guy on child support to receive stamps n all. But in my state or county they only way they put the guy on child support is if u gonna be getting money from the state
