39.6 weeks pregnant, very painful but irregular contractions...call my obgyn clinic to find out if I should go into l&d or wait?

My luck...my clinic is closed. They had a recording that said if I suspect labor or water has broke to go to hospital and check in through e.r.

I'd call and tell them that they are 4-6 minutes apart but irregular and see what they say. I'm guessing you should prob go but I'd def call ☺️
