Breastfeeding is honestly so difficult. She'll have all the hunger cues but when I put her to my breast, she doesn't want to latch! If she does she'll suckle for a few seconds and then just chill with the nipple in her mouth, or she'll spit it out and immediately start rooting again or crying. It's like she has no interest in feeding. She's getting a bit better but it's still difficult and it's even more difficult to find a position with which I don't need my boyfriend or the consultant's help supporting both her and my breast and keeping her warm/covered if we do skin to skin.

Just keep with it. It'll get better. I hope it's not too cliché. It really is normal.
