this is my first child so I know I should not be commenting. however like you I work too and want to breast feed. a few people have encouraged me to breast feed and put it in bottles and that's it and not too have them latch. Some said that worked great for them others said it didn't.

my dilemma is i want to have that connection with him with him latching and whatnot . but i can not afford him to be strictly on the boob . theres a chance he wont latch . or i wont produce enough . but its been a well talked about topic between my fiancé and i the past few days @rkline03 .

i am breastfeeding and i have very sensitive breasts. as well as i work for a non profit, which i have worked hard to get the position. i have found that orthopedic nipples or the MAM brand of bottles work the best. they are designed for breastfed babies. the nipples are specially for breastfed babies. the nipple is shaped like your breast.

Here's an option for you: you could alway pump throughout the day and give the boob when you're at home (so at night, weekends). That way you have that time together but he's not too attached.

@princesssskxo, at 4 weeks I introduced a bottle with breast milk so my hubby and grandma could help. For him it didn't matter the source booby or bottle as long as it was breast milk

my son which was my first refuse to take any bottles from his sitter for a while so I would have to try to rush home and feed him as I was only in school so I had to freedom to leave at anytime, with my daughter she refused to take a bottle from me but she would take it from everyone else lol she new I had he boobies.. just try to pump and do both from the start and it should be easier but if boob is all baby knows until you go back to work transition will be hard, they are smart trust me my son stopped taking bottles from me at 2months

i could do that . im just so worried he would get too attached to the boob . i feel like my friends didnt even really try tho . @gabbybritt and i was told i had to wait 2 to 3 months before i did that because of nipple confusion @surprise4 but if it worked for you idk .

my little guy won't take formula from a bottle but will take breastmilk from any bottle. but I am a SAHM, so I have the liberty of nursing all the time. I would say try introducing a bottle after baby has mastered a good nursing latch. Also, I would only offer a bottle after that starting once a day and work up to however many baby will need during the times you work. If that makes sense?

I love breastfeeding and I wouldn't change my experience for anything and I will most definitely be breastfeeding this baby too... the only bad thing about breastfeeding is my kids are 5 and almost 3yrs old and still touch my boobs if I give them the change my 2yr old daughter fondled me almost every day 😐😐 I hate it but she won't stop for nothing

@princesssskxo, talk to your pediatrician my son's doctor encouraged it, I didn't have problems with nipple confusion with any of my children. The first four weeks were just me feeding and pumping.
