Emotionally and physically drained. I love my daughter to death. Lately she's been acting out and faking tantrums. She will literally scream & cry for 10 minutes or longer. Nothing will sooth her cause she faking it. We give her all the attention in the world. I just feel like I'm failing her cause I just don't understand why she is acting like this. She whines all day long for literally no reason. I have just started time outs and they don't seem to work yet but I won't give up on them. She hates to hear the word no and goes crazy every time I say it. I'm so drained and tired. Once she's down for the night I am shamefully relieved 😩 I feel so horrible. I really hope this is just a phase.

Are you able to walk away and go in another room but where you can still see her? If you are I would suggest that, so you can collect yourself. The more attention you give to her acting out the more she will do it even in a phase.

sit her down and talk to her my niece was the same way my sister sat her down talked to her and each week if she was good she would take her out somewhere for ice cream or a treat. it took time but once she realized if I'm bad I don't get it and she stopped. not sure if it will work for all kids but it's worth a shot. good luck

@katie.w16, when I say I give her attention I say it in the sense like I give her attention and love in general so I don't think she's acting out for attention. But when she does act out I ignore her till she stops. Either I place her on her bed or on the couch and walk away.

How old is she?? My 2 daughters been acting out more and more the closer I get to having the baby. One is 18 months old and the other one 4.
