I truly love preggie, @preggie_usa 💖 When I get on here I see women of all ages, religions, and races 👀 All of which are trying to conceive, currently pregnant, or postpartum 👣 The posts are supposed to be uplifting and joyful 🌟 We're ALL somewhat going through the same thing 💯 When we're reading, liking, and/or commenting, we are not concerned with the age, religion, or race of the fellow mommy, we are simply interacting as one ☝ We are our own group here & we are all called MOMMY 😍 I just don't believe preggie is the place to be discussing the Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, or any other related stories for that matter 🚫 We are united and we should not allow our opinions of these mishaps to deter us from supporting one another in a positive manner 💭

but it was ok to discuss the gorilla being killed??? but we can't discuss innocent men taken away by people who are supposed to serve and protect

Although, I had my opinions on the gorilla story, I never not once posted in regards to it 🚫 So that honestly does not pertain to me. However, I also have my opinions on the killings of these men, I will continue to keep preggie my go to social media for inspiration, information, and occasionally a laugh. This is specifically a mommy app and those other conversations need to be left on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or in real life @mrshamilton830

I don't think supporting and bringing attention to issues in other communities stops or hinders the support of another especially in this case. It may make you uncomfortable but it needs to be talked about.

@klove23, it actually does not make me uncomfortable. However, I am sick of seeing the negativity on preggie in regards to race. I do NOT agree with white cops killing young black men just because they are black, period. I've spoken up about the situations time and time again expressing facts, and most of all, statistics. I'm not saying to not discuss it as a real problem, nor am I saying it needs to be taken lightly, because it doesn't. It is a problem, a very real problem that needs to be addressed & we as people cannot turn a blind eye. Nonetheless, I just simply feel as though there is a time & place for everything.

I see no problem bringing light to other issues, while this is a site geared toward pregnancy it is also a social forum. Where a very wide range of things are discussed. And just curious did you also feel the need to tell others that is wasn't the "place" to post about their frustration in regards to the gorilla being killed or was that an appropriate topic for this forum?

Omg, why in the world does this gorilla keep being brought up? It's a damn gorilla for peat sake. Are you really comparing the young african american men that are being murdered to a gorilla that was murdered? Wow! & I actually was not even taking part in preggie for quite some time, which is when the Cincinatti Zoo occurrence happened. Okay? So, I did not speak on the gorilla topic. However, that literally has absolutely NOTHING to do with my post in the first place. This was not meant to be a negative, nor discriminating post. So y'all need to chill and stop bringing your negativity to my posts. Thanks 😘 @klove23

Totally get what you're trying to say. 💗✨ preggie is awesome in the fact that it's a mommy community, and we are all united in that way.
