Mummies when did you take your babies swimming. I want to start asap.

Advise used to be after the first vaccination I think

But my eldest is 18 and over the years lots has changed im sure with my 2 year old I waited till the first vax

If you find a class they take them from when the cord falls off it has to be in special pool with a certain temp I think I've been looking myself xx

I started at 16weeks @janegail but you can take them once they've had their first set of jabs. The earlier the better if you're keen to do it 😊

@janegail, I've been taking my son swimming since the week after he had his first vaccinations, the sooner you start the better. He loves going swimming now xx

Needs to be a hydro pool and no longer than half hour if they are very young as the can't self regulate their temperature, I've got a swim suit that's like a wet suit. Think you can go from six weeks but classes tend to start around three months my little girl loves it

@janegail, it used to be after 12 weeks jab but the health advisor that came to see me tuesday said any date at all. when i get home ill send u screen shot u the leaflet. when i had my son 11yrs back was from 3 months but apparently now its anytime xx
