38 weeks is full term. im tired of hearing how my baby wont be developed enough to have in a couple weeks

39 is full term but it's likely if you went into spontaneous labor at 38 weeks your baby would be ok. Babies are best off though when they have 39 to 40 weeks

@arivera64, your comment is the only one i like on here. i was born at 37 weeks and had no health problems at all. it wont be a big deal if my baby is born a couple weeks early. if im dilated enough my baby will come early

It's been shown that it is the baby that sends signals to the body when it needs to be born. Some babies are born early and have issues but even then it was probably because something in the mothers body was not suitable. I just dont like when i see ppl begging docs to induce and force labor before 39 weeks because the baby deserves more time. If your baby comes before that though, then that doesn't doom them.

My friend had her baby at 35 weeks and he was fully developed

@arivera64, well considering ive started having mild contractions and some pressure i dont think ill go to full term.

Time will tell 😉 I was 2cm and had contractions for 6hrs at a time every single night for weeks and I went 3 days over lol. Hopefully that doesn't happen tho cuz it really sucked

One thing you also have to realize, is your due date is estimated, They could be off by a couple weeks. Baby's come when they are ready, yes there are times when your body rejects them, or something medical is going on. It just is what it is.

Good luck. Doesn't mean much in terms of when baby wil be here but the good thing is that once labor really starts you know you're already x amount of cm ahead lol
