Need some honesty from u guys. OH bought a puppy just as we got pregnant, it a big breed dog and is jumping up and mouthing people, OH is very protective of dog and is constantly telling my three kids off as the keep on shouting at the dog . Has ended up my ex getting involved saying that if it happens again then he wants to take kids from me. Have asked OH to get the dog rehomed as the trouble it is causing in the house. I am also afraid it might get over excited and hurt the baby. Am I being unfair? Am so stressed that today I actually thought I have started premature labour😞

No, you are not being unfair. If the kids are being hastle by the dog and your ex is saying that he will take them then you are doing the right thing. xx

It sounds like the dog needs training... There is nothing wrong with having a dog around kids and a baby but the dog needs to be well behaved

As a compromise how about getting the dog in a 6week training doggy course then see how it's behaviour is? If this fails then rehome the dog? That way atleast you can all say you tried? I've had a cross Alsatian around my 4 since birth and with the right training she's a lovely dog, still bouncy sometimes but I wouldn't be without her now

We have a cockapoo who is almost a year and calming by the day, but it's only very recently that she's started to calm down. We have been told to wrap a doll in a blanket and sit with it on out lap of an evening to get the dog used to it. Also to use baby moisturiser so we smell like a baby as this helps too. Small things might help x
