I need some help and advice. So i haven't spoken to my BD since the end of April, which is fine. But now he blocked me on all social media and blocked my number. So now I have no way to reach him if something goes wrong with the baby. I was trying to avoid going to court but that's my only option at this point. So what information do I need for my child birth certificate from him as well as what information do I need for the papers to file for court?

if he isn't going to be there for the birth then you will need to get a paternity text done to prove that he's the dad in order to get child support from him

Why go through all the trouble? If you put him on the birth certificate, he has rights to the child. If he has not cared for this long why now?

well then all you have to do is take him to court and if he denies the baby being his then they will pay for a DNA test and if the baby turns out to be his he has to pay the state back for it and start paying you child support but don't do any extra process just go straight to court with it

I tried to make my first two kids dad be a part of things and all this crap is 3 years later I'm finally getting everything worked out just go straight to court you will save yourself so much time and trouble

don't put him on the birth certificate... that's not a good idea, just take him to court after the baby's born

hell have rights automatically he could take that baby from you in a quick sec if the judge agrees and they don't always favor the mother

he doesn't need to be on the birth certificate if you don't want him to and if he isn't there for the birth. if you want him to step up then you will need him on it

if you want him on there it's up to you .. but if he is already blocking you and your number why would you want him in your life or kids life... if he really wanted to be involve in his babies life he wouldn't block you..

I agree with @savannahdrlng they don't always favor the mother ... it can end up back firing on you... never know in the future who actually has a better future job etc.. and maybe can take your child away I seen it happen

the best thing you can do to be on the safe side is talk to a lawyer ..people here may tell you one thing here and the lawyer may tell you another thing but just to be on the safe side talk to one thats what im doing im not taking any advice from anyone but a lawyer ..good luck girl i know your pain im going thru the same thing
