Hello all mother and mothers to be....

so yesterday I called up the hospital for my induction, they said to come in for 10am which I did. I was sent to a ward with 2 other women that were being induced at the time. the other 2 women this was there first child so there cervix wasn't as favourable for them to go straight into labour. I was given the pessary/tampon thing at 2pm and monitored for 1hr it was very uncomfortable I though maybe coz I've been on the bed for so long.... so it was time to get up and go for a walk the pain keeped coming and going coming and going I told the midwife that was looking after us on that ward she says it's only the side effects I don't believe that your having contractions... I was crying and crying and crying in pain. my mother and partner said to her they think I'm in labour the side affects can't be that bad 😠 so around 3.45 she came and said I'll check u but your cervix wasn't good enough when it went in..... so I was nervous so she examined me anyway..... she said oh wow I gotta take this pessary out because your already 4cm and u need to go to labour room.... my pains were getting more and more intense I got the gas and air.... is eased as much as possible but I was in so much pain I've never felt nothing like it with my first at 8pm I'm begging for a epidural so they've gone to look for someone to put one in she came back and said that the person is on theatre 😢 I'm here in so much pain thinking no way this baby isn't going to wait my mums thinking baby will be another 5 hrs the midwife said baby will be here very soon. the person came at 9.30pm to put epi in and once she inserted the needle I was ready to push so long story short it was a very painful experience as epidural takes 20min to work and baby was out withing a push after she put it in it took a while for her to do that as I was getting contractions... I hope everyone has a great labour and birth.....
