Is this pillow safe for him to sleep with? I'm being overly cautious on our first night home. It helps to keep him from flipping over, but I of course don't want anything in there that would be dangerous.
Both my girls have slept with a pillow. I mean if you put blankets on both sides of the little on the he can't roll over but he is just born so he can't roll over anyway. You will sleep lightly
Swaddling is definitely okay! It's actually recommended to Swaddle young babies for bed time. But like @ciaramarie said, that looks like a tummy time pillow. I have one too and my baby loves it!
@ciaramarie, @sharonpaige13 Mr man had us up all night. He was being a cranky little butt. But when he finally slept I kept him in there with nothing but his sleeper on. We do have swaddling outfits, unfortunately they are being washed at the moment because we used them at the hospital and the little guy pooped all up his back and got them poopy. Thanks so much for all of the advice, as a new mommy I have lots of questions and you ladies help so much!
I agree relax but with blankets even when swaddled they can get their selfs out of it and pull it against their face we have a swaddler! It's Velcro and puts my mind at ease and my baby is warm!! (: and no problem! I had a ton of questions too and freaked out over everything the first week!!
Swaddling is safe, just make sure the blankets not all up against his face. Or you can buy a little swaddler outfit.
Just relax. I know it's scary being so little & you being so new to everything but you have to relax mama! 💙 and swaddle is the word I was looking for not snuggle! Hahah. My dr told me to swaddle my daughter.
@ciaramarie, That's a very good point, he could very easily turn his head against it. I took it out. Right now I'm holding him and about to put a sleeper on him and put him back in the bassinet with just the sleeper.
@sharonpaige13, So swaddling is a no also? Pediatrician said that was the only thing allowed. Which I guess makes my original question about the pillow silly because I knew the answer, just don't exactly know the pillows purpose. We have a window ac because it gets pretty hot, we have it on fan right now, but I'm still afraid he'll be too cold in just a onesie. Btw I appreciate all of the friendly advice, thank you!
It looks like it's a tummy time pillow to help with learning to hold their head up. My daughter is ten months and first like 7 months she was in a rock n play. She's never slept with pillows but she won't sleep without a blanket lol. When she was that little I'd wrap it around her basically snuggled up with her now she kinda holds the blanket. Use your own judgement. But right now he's too little to really flip over. Only thing that would concern me with it in there is if he turns his head and has his face up against the pillow.
Blankets and pillows are a big no when sleeping it's a big lead in causing SIDS...suppose to have them sleep in a sleeper or if your house is warmer a onsie
@hermommy, I'm taking it out then. It was a hand me down gift from his aunt, so I wasn't sure what it was for and if it was safe for the bassinet or crib while sleeping. Thank you so much!
just watch him momma which in sure you already do it should be okay they just nornally say no
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .

I would think its okay, but I can't say much, I let my baby sleep with me. She won't sleep any other way, and I don't think it's okay to let a baby cry itself to sleep
