Did you guys wean your babies off breastmilk and formula to cow milk or did they/you just let them…

About a month before my dd turned 1 I gradually began introducing cows milk and by the time she was 1 she chunked her supplement bottle for whole milk! I continued breastfeeding until she was 18mo. Goats milk is easier on the tummy from what I understand, so if lo has a bad reaction (constipation, gas, etc) I would definitely try it! Or if you prefer goats milk to giving cows milk, that's perfectly okay!

Awesome! Yeah my son LOVES cows milk and has never had a problem with it! But he has also had goats milk and loved that too! I guess I'll stick to cows milk when it's time but probably the 1% milk. Not sure which would be gentler. For now he's also been getting almond milk every now and then and loves it!

my baby just turned 11 months last week.I'm gunna let her try Almond milk and see how she's does. I breastfeed, and will continue until she decides to stop. Milk will be more if just a treat or for convenience.

My son hasn't had goat milk but I think the pediatricians say your child should drink whole milk until they're 5 years old

My son's pediatrician said whole milk until he's 2. But I see a lot of mom's on here go with different milk

Okay thanks @rosalinasmami @sandranatalia @caydensmommy Yeah I know almond milk is safe even under 1 because it's lactose gluten and dairy free! As far as whole milk I wasn't too sure. As far as goat milk I've just seen other moms switch to that after breast milk or formula because it's similar to formula.

I switched to whole milk. The day my son turned 1 I just started giving him milk instead of formula. It didn't affect him at all. I see people slowly transition it into their babies diet, but I didn't.
