@babybunn like that in alabama too:/ i cant get help and just qualified for wic after 9 months and that was even with a note from my Dr saying they made me quit my job that I couldn't work. they didn't care.

Some states require at least a certain amount of hours, but they may also have a program that helps. I can't remeber what it is called, but they will give you work to get money. Also I don't know how welfare works while pregnant, but you could try for that. If your partner works, then you should be able to get on it.

Apply 4 wic! It's super easy. Try a church. & I went to a free pregnancy center that gives away maternity and baby clothes, bottles, blankets etc

Yep what @zachsbabygurl said when u tell them ur pregnant u have a better chance of getting stuff!

in Ohio they make you go to the job center... basically you fill apps out online.. you don't have to work, but they want you to show some kind of initiation..

I'm not working either and I get assistance they also have cash assistance as well also u can get a free car seat from the hospital, your local fire or police dept, some churches, khol's has a program, if u have insurance u can tell them u need help with a car seat too...things are tight for me too I had to google but a mommys gotta do Wat a mommys gotta do!

In Ohio, you can apply for cash assistance. That is the the program that requires you to apply for jobs. Without a job you can apply for food stamps and medical. Whoever told you that you can't is nuts. I got fired while pregnant a year ago and got on food stamps right away. If you have questions, please feel free to pm me.
