Need to rehome my mothers dog ASAP so my partner can sort out her living room paint and replace sofas before baby is here as the dog has made it unsanitary. And unfortunately we have to stay here until we got our own place sorted I don't want to confine my baby to the upstairs as its unfair. My mum promised months ago to rehome him but hasn't bothered . And I need this house clean before he's here.
Does anyone know any dog homes that would take him without the six months waiting list ?

one thing you can do is take him to rspca and tell them you found him and cant keep him x

@danielleallen110, that's a really good idea! Thank you x

My mum never bothered having him chipped She's gonna try see if her friend will have him (original owner) or we will try this. X

I'd be careful doing that they will be able to tell if the dog knows you and it's now against the law not to have them chipped either

@suzie80, I know it's against the law we told my mother ages back she never listens or puts things Off. I feel bad getting rid of him but she doesn't look after him properly and the house Is a mess . She's had months to sort it and is leaving everything too late. :/ don't know what else to do. Just want the home clean. Or I'll have to confine my son to my bedroom as his xx

i remember someone i know having to do this last year as they didnt have no room for the dog in there home anymore and had to wait a few weeks for a rehoming shelter to take them but then ended up saying they found the dog and kept him for a few days but didnt have the room to keep him anymore xx

If you need to rehome your mums dog look up buy and sell pages on Facebook and advertise him there. Or else make an ad on gumtree. Just be careful of who you give him too, you could even charge a small fee to ensure he goes to a good home. But if you take him to a shelter like dogs trust or rspca, just explain the situation. They're supposed to have the animals best interest at heart so I don't see why they wouldn't take him if they aren't full.

@canteloupe24, thanks for the advice I'll try that too. Im not blaming my mum she can't help it but it's got to the point it's stressing everyone out and family don't want to visit xx
