I hate seeing women on here so depressed, sad, and talking about wanting to end their life. It just makes me so sad. Lord knows Ive been there before. BUT. That being said, we are all mothers, our children need us. No matter what we go through in life, no matter how bad out circumstances may be, we no longer live for self. We have a responsibility to Angels. Our children. And this is coming from someone who has suffered severe depression since I was 13. Life is worth living for them. Embrace what you've got in the blessings you've been given...everything else in life can and will fall away. Everything else doesn't matter. All we have is this. Make the most of it. And above all, find a reason to BE HAPPY.

just because you've had it "easy" with your depression doesn't mean others don't. I've never had depression or any mental health problems but I have family that does and honestly its not always their fault that they feel that way, even if they have kids, its MENTAL, its in their head, its chemical imbalance, and not just that but when you go thru things that are horrible it makes it even worse. yes they need to live for their children and think about them but you never know what the next person is going thru or how sever their mental problems are.

@kelseys, um, excuse me, did you just tell me that I've had it EASY with my depression? Really? Do you know me? Do you know ANYTHING at all that I've had to go through? No? Then don't assume. You know NOTHING of the struggle I have had. I was simply trying to ENCOURAGE other women. I don't appreciate you coming on my status and trash talking me and talking about things relating to me that you know nothing about. I'm clinically maniacally depressed, I don't need you telling me how severe or easy my issues are....I'm supposed to be medicated, hwavily, and I choose to NOT take my medication and deal naturally for the sake of my breastfed baby. So before you talk trash, get your facts straight.

well if you can read, I never once trashed you at all, never once even said a bad thing about you. I said Just because youve had it "easy" with your depression doesn't mean others don't. and if you see the word Easy, there's parentheses around it because I didn't exactly mean easy, I meant it as others might have it worse than you, you never know. so no I'm not acting like I know you or what you've been thru, so before you jump down someone's throat, reread comments, because I didn't comment being disrespectful or trashing you.

@sarahemccormick, your words are very encouraging and I don't think depression or any other mental illness is EVER easy. I suffer from severe manic depression since 13 and severe anxiety that I just got under control and have been diagnosed bipolar 2x. Yes all these can be managed whether it be medication lifestyle changes activities etc but some people can not take medications or change the situation they are in(almost trapped in your own self). I self medicated and shut my self down for years and became A very bad addict now I am over 1 year clean and about to have a baby. I never knew the strength I had to overcome these challenges. This pregnancy has been difficult with my ups and downs emotions flying everywhere but I do have to remind myself that things will get better and the way I'm feeling won't last forever. Unfortunately I had to stay on me medications but being monitored by 3 different doctors and the support system I have, has reassured me I made the best decision based on how intense and bad my issues were. It's been an extremely hard year and ever ounce of reassurance positivity and the push to keep moving forward has helped one day at a time.
