praying for mom and baby. and I have to add some advice. I was born with an omphalocele, the only difference is that my intestines were in their own membrane. I had the surgery to correct it after birth. and a couple months later the drs found I had gangrene and that led to short bowel syndrome. which has caused more medical problems. so my advice is please, please let the mother know this can happen but doesn't have to turn out the way it did for me. make sure her drs know what they are doing and if anything seems off about her newborn go to the er immediately and have drs do a thorough check. no child should go through what I did. luckily mine will not have too. but please let the mom be aware. both will be in my prayers
