Is it normal for my feet and legs to be swollen really bad after giving birth?

For me I remember it took about 3 to 4 days before It started to notice it was going down… just try to rest and elevate your feet. Remember to hydrate in order to flush your system… Herbal teas are good too but be careful if you're breast-feeding… you can also soak your feet in hot water. I was on my feet the very next day so I think that it took longer to go down because I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be.

if it starts to hurt go in the because it can be a sign of a clot.

Yes mine did the same thing also with all 3 babies...During the delivery, not all the blood leaves the body. A combination of this extra blood, hormonal changes, and fluid retention will make your hands, legs and ankles swell post-pregnancy. It is known as postpartum edema or postpartum swelling. ссылка
