Does it really matter if we use baby laundry detergent...?

I say yes. Not forever but for sure wash all of their clothes the first time with baby safe detergent. After a few weeks, their skin will be acclimated to whatever regular detergent you use because their skin will have been touching your clothes. It doesn't hurt to just buy one box and use it until it's gone. Then just wash the baby clothes with regular stuff.

It does not.... I wash both my kids clothes with regular detergent and softener. But the baby stuff smells so good lol. Never bought it tho. I have Dreft fabric refresher, spray it on the carpets and curtains in kids rooms :)

no. I use tide free and gentle. my girls were all allergic to dreft.

I used draft the entire first year and now I started using regular detergent :)

the way I look at it is they didn't have that 20 years ago so I'm sure most babies are fine with whatever u use.
