I would wait until it becomes unbearable personally, or call L&D.

but it never became unbearable with my first, i was 8 cm when i got there and didnt even know

I would keep track over the next hour... Make sure they stay consistent ... Time them every time... See if they get worse or if they taper off... If it stays consistent and last close to a minute and stay that way for at least an hour then I would head in to L&D ,.. If they become irregular or taper off I would say it's Braxton hicks :)

I had several false alarms a few weeks ago... Felt real to me... I ended up being induced bc of high blood pressure... But during my false alarms they sent me home and told me those exact "rules" when they induced labor with me I didn't feel many contractions in the beginning so I understand your confusion! And everyone is different! Just keep track of the time 😌 if it's real it won't go away !

braxton hicks can be that close together? and happen for that long at a time?

I had that for 5 hours before I connected the dots and decided that that I was in labor. my suggestion is to at least call L&D.
