You can go up to 42 weeks without induction. If they try to schedule one as long as you do t have any complications you can say you want to wait til 42 weeks to be induced.

42 weeks is dangerous. I've already met 2 women whose babies started to eat their own feces at 42 weeks... They had birth defects & will be in wheelchairs. Not trying to scare you but 42 isn't safe anymore. The meds they give you aren't the worst for you. Yes it's painful but their is meds for that as well. It's there, use it if need be. It doesn't make you less of a mom if you do etc.

@christal1102, the birth defects have nothing nothing to do with going to 42 week & if a child poops in the womb they are suppose to deliver ASAP so that again is the doctors fault. Seeing. A due date isn't 100% accurate being induced even at 40 weeks, the baby could be 38 weeks & there could still be issues there. If it wasn't "safe" doctors & hospital couldn't & wouldn't offer it seeing they could be sued for malpractice. I worked at an Obgyn, I know a lot about the protocols.

I'm wanting to go natural med free and won't do epidural as I know it can possibly make my back pain worse. My ob won't allow me to go over a week of my due date. @hart.momma @christal1102

@deafmama16, try natural ways to help you progress. I know people who have gone 42 weeks about & had a healthy labor & baby. Just a BIG baby.

I have try all the safe method and like I said my ob is not allowing me to go a week past my due date. All I got is prayers and workouts @hart.momma
