There is no way in hell I'd ever ask my son for anything financially. That's so backwards to me, if anything I will always be there to support him. My mother asked me for almost 1000$ this morning. I am a single mother, I don't receive child support or any support for that matter, no government assistance besides wic, and I only get to work 2 nights a week as a waitress and last night I made 16$. I'm starting nursing school in the fall and seeing as most of my classes will be online, I am going to have to buy a good laptop and that costs several hundred dollars, on top of my other bills. Don't get me wrong, I have money saved up, but it is for emergencies and for things Jaxtyn and I may need. I told her I'd give her half because she's my mother, how the fuck can I say no?! Never would I put my child in this situation 😡

It sucks but I wouldn't leave my mom hanging either. She's borrowed money from me plenty of times.

Well she has a bad track record for one, I know I'll never see a dime of it back, and she's put herself in this situation anyway. She quit her job and moved out of a perfectly good place bc she got in a fight with my grandmother and couldn't just swallow her pride. So she decided to lease an apartment and I'm not sure how she thought she'd be able to afford that when she decided to quit her job and then turn down 2 more job offers. She acts like a child, and I'm so over it. She has never supported me in any way especially not financially. She wanted me to pay her power bill when she was living somewhere rent free and making 8-9 hundred $ a week and I wasn't even living there! Lol shit like that. Even when I was little before I could even work and before my dad finally won custody of us, she never did shit for us financially. So in all honestly I don't owe her a thing, but being that she is my mother and I'd do anything for anyone I love, I can't say no. @santistevanmommie

I get what you're saying. I'd feel the same way if I were in your situation. Sometimes adults just don't know how to be an adult. And it's even worse when the ones you love put you in a position they know you won't say no to
