So at the beginning of my pregnancy I found out I have HPV. The strain I have is not genital worts. I was vaccinated when I was 16. After delivery my pap was still abnormal, they said it could go away on its own. They want to do a biopsy..I missed my appointment because I'm scared. I'm going to reschedule. Has anyone had it? What are the chances of it being cancerous? You can message me if you want. Did it go away on its own or did you have to have it removed? Did it effect pregnancy after?

I had a Pap smear done back in December last year and it proved that I had ASCUS which is another word for an abnormal pap. I was really scared because at the time I was pregnant. But my midwife insisted that she needed a second sample so she re-did it and did a biopsy and they said it was just showing abnormal and I did not have HPV strain of genital warts or cancer. I was also vaccinated the second it came out... It was a complete relief. Of course now I will have to be diligent and take that Pap smear every year so that they can monitor any differences (before I was not having an annual Pap smear). But I hope you go back and give them the sample. I know you're scared but this is your health you need to know what exactly is going on. Sending you positive thoughts💕

Thank you, I was able to reschedule but it's not until August. Also, if my partner has it (which I'm sure he does) will it stay around? Can I get it again from him?
