I have a question... how does everyone feel about having or getting you tubes tied... I need some…

I think it really depends on you and your family. I plan on getting mine tied after baby number 3 - if God blesses us with two more. But, some people are good with one child while others want nine. It all depends.

mother of 5 here.. soon to be 6.. And ever since i had my 3rd my fam put pressure on me to tie sayin no more babies! But i knew in my heart i wanted more so i didnt tie.. #4 n 5 came along which were finally my girls! First 3 were boys.. And again the pressure was on to tie! My dr kept tellin me.. If im not 100% sure dont do it.. So i didnt.. And im glad i didnt! i was blessed again in march but unfortunately that ended in a miscarriage.. And got pregnant in april im now 13 weeks and im considering tyin after this one.. If i do it is my choice and decision.. Noone elses.. Not doin it for anyone but me.. I just feel like this is it.. And birthcontrol just doesnt agree with me at all! ive tried everything! So i still have a few months to decide for sure.. Its 50/50 right now..ill be 35 next year so thats another reason.. im jus scared about how id feel afterwards.. But like ⬆⬆ said.. Its really up to u and what u want.. its a permanent thing.. if ir 1000% sure its what u want n u want absolutely np more kids then its something to consider...

I'm seriously thinking about doing it... I have a 15 year old and this one is due Sept 1... I honestly don't think I can do this again😂😂😂I'm getting old😂😂but I'm going to talk to my doctor about it.

it's a personal decision, first and foremost - but should also include S/O if they are actively involved. as far as the complications go - that can occur with any surgery. and tubal litigation is a relatively major abdominal surgery (as with Cesarean), so risks are always at bay. recovery can be a little difficult but it's feasible.

it is meant to be permanent, but is technically reversible if down the road you change your mind - however it would require another surgery.

keep in mind though, that no birth control (even this) is permanent. my high school math teacher had a vasectomy, his wife had her tubes tied and they still ended up getting pregnant (extremely rare, but it can happen). the pregnancy was viable and they now have a healthy 5 year old.
