We had our son learn to pee sitting down first and then taught him to stand up after.

@marissamorris, that's how we started out, but he refuses to pee no matter how we tell him. we've told him to water the plants outside and nothing too.

Hmm potty treats? We did that for a bit too. We got some cheap little toys from the 99 cent store and dollar tree. And little snacks and candy and after he would pee or poop we'd let him pick out a treat/toy of his choice

@marissamorris, hmm. it worked well for you? I will try anything at this point. we are trying to do a sticker chart for everytime he goes potty, but he's so panicked about it. I'm gonna try everything I haven't thought of.

It did. We just made sure they were small treats lol we didn't want him thinking he would get a $20 toy after going pee lol. It first worked with going pee once he got that down we told him ok now it's only for poop. That's where we had the most trouble. He would look at me and say mommy I need a pull up cuz I gotta poop 🙄 but it was def a challenge for a while. Good luck mama!

My sister had a "reward" for all her kids when they went in the toilet. It was always something different. Her first was Keebler fudge stripe Cookies, her second loves little horse figurines and I think the third liked any kind of snack 😂 Helped motivate them

@marissamorris, lol mine says the same after 3+ hours of needing to pee. either he goes in his undies or in the toilet. we are trying. thanks so much!!

@christineg, I wish it happened sooner lol. I just don't want my 3 year old and my new born in diapers. it's expensive. I know I've heard boys take longer.

Yeah we had plenty of silent moments and then look at him and pee is dripping down his legs haha. We were in the same boat! Expecting his brother and he was 3 not potty trained. I was terrified lol I was like omg I do not want 2 in diapers! Now here I am with a 15 month old and number 3 coming so here I am going to have 2 in diapers 😂😂

We literally got him out of diapers/pull-ups about 2 weeks after his brother was born, thank goodness!
