This has never happened to me but what if a loved one passes the day you're giving birth. Like, hours before and that same day you're going into labor? How are you supposed to feel, happy or sad? I know this sounds kind of dumb lol but it was just a thought

I've been thinking about the same thing since my FIL found out he has cancer and the surgery didn't make it go away.

that did happen to me. honestly i was more happy then sad. yes its sad losing a beautiful soul but gaining one is by far more so happy in my opinion.

Happened to us. 2 days before. And my friends grandma died a day before she gave birth. We were sad the days before but the birth-day is about celebrating your baby. You're allowed to be happy.

This happened to my family but a week apart. Unlike the other commenters, we traded one baby for a new one. My 4 month old nephew was in an accident on a Wednesday and died on Friday. Then my SIL went into labor on the following Tuesday and had my niece on Wednesday. We were all happy when she was born but we were also all very sad cause my nephew wasn't there to meet his cousin.
