So I have been in hospital for 2 nights now with frequent contractions and I've been told that I can go home if I want to and wait. I had a scan and baby is 5lb π, however Midwife said she's 2/5 engaged, what does this mean? Will she come soon or can she stay 2/5 for longer?

Babies can sit at 2/5 engaged for weeks. Some don't fully engage till labour so you might have a while to wait yet. I'm due today and my little one is only 3/5 engaged xx

It means she has 3/5 to go until her head is completely in the cervix x

Thanks ladies, I just asked the midwife and she said that the babies head shouldn't go down any lower now until I'm nearing the active part of labour so she's exactly where she should be. @baby316 @natroberts88 x
