So I got induced and pretty much they check you in, hook you up to monitors that keep track of your baby's heart rate and your contractions. Ask you a bunch of like family health history and everything. Then they will start you on a drip with the meds the help start contractions. They start with a small amount and then up it like every hour. They broke my water when I got dilated to 4cm. Ummmmm the nurses check on you and are always asking how your feeling and if you need medication for the pain. My induction was pretty smooth. Got checked in at 9am, started the drip at 11:30am. I didn't start feeling the contractions until about 5:30pm, but they wernt painful just annoying because it felt like I had to take a huge #2. At 6pm I started pushing and my baby was born at 6:23. I was never in any pain...the only time I was in any pain was when she started to crown and I had a minor rip, but that was becuse she had her hand up in her face.

well.. my original due date was June 23rd..but scheduled c section for June 2nd..and because I got preclampsia they had to schedule me for may 23rd. since I didn't have a baby shower my mom and I decided to go to target and get last minute stuff since it was 3 days away. I had gotten my final steroid shot so I was nervous about giving birth. after walking around walmart and target I got home and get slot of pressure so I got in the shower..about 2hrs later I got up and went to the bathroom..nothing but water and blood came out..my membrane had ruptured..10 mins later I was at l&d they checked me to make sure..my water had broke..abound then the contractions started rolling in..next thing you know I'm getting prepped for the OR. they handed my husband his outfit to change into while I was getting my spinal tap. 30m later I heard my daughters cry followed by my son..they were born may 21st at 138 and 139am.. my daughter weighed 3.14 and my son 5.3. I was 35weeks and 2 days

@savvylynn1, I was exactly 41w.

I was induced at 39 weeks. I arrived at the hospital at 6:50am. I was in my own room and in my gown by 7am. A nurse came in and put my IV in also hooked me up to the monitor to hear my baby. My doctor came to check me at 8am and I was dilated to a 6 already so she broke my water and gave me medicine to start my contractions.They also gave me fluids since your not allowed to eat or drink anything. I was doing fine with the contractions breathing through them but my daughter's heart rate dropped to 30 beats a minute. They called my doctor and she came and told me she wanted me to get an epidural to help my daughter. Said it would cause less stress on my body possibly making her heart rate to go back up. So I was given my epidural around 5pm. Unfortunately my epidural didn't work and I later found out my daughter was positioned wrong. She was facing my thigh rather than looking down at the floor. That caused my labor to become very intense and hard. The on call doctor came in and tried to flip my daughter by sticking his hand inside me and grabbing her but it didn't work. At this point I had to have my epidural redone three times and was given a higher dose. The nurses didn't know what to do and my husband just kept crying because at this point I caught a fever and was told my daughter and I might not make it. Everyone was talking about having a emergency C-section but the doctor on call didn't want that. After a second attempt at flipping my daughter he was successful. After 8 hours of pushing, 21.5 hours of labor and a very unsuccessful epidural my 8 pounds 14 ounce little girl was born at 5:45am.

I had both of my girls naturally. I had super fast labors (like barely got to the hospital in time lol). With my first, she came 4 days early and between realizing I was in labor and driving to the hospital (about 25 min drive), I was already crowning when I got to L&D. My water didn't break til the 2nd push and the third push she was out. No pain meds at all and I was only at the hospital for about 15 mins before she arrived. My 2nd girl, almost an exact repeat of what happened the first time around, except that I was only at the hospital for 9 minutes before she arrived. Again, absolutely no pain meds. My second one was 9 days early. Both girls were born completely healthy 😊
