okay I have a question, I was told to NEVER lay a baby ln its back in the bath. one because a baby can roll over and drown even if you walk out for a second and two because the water in their ears can cause issues...has anyone heard anything saying it's okay?

Yeah I know that but I meant I never heard to not lay them on their back in the tub. I never filled the tub up where water could get in his ears, and I'd never walk away while he's in the tub. I think it's fine.

@raising_carson16, baby is fine on there back 👍🏼 have a little incline so they are not all the way on the tub lol but they will be okay

@deannapooley, every time I see someone post a picture they aren't inclined, my family member specifically and she puts the water over her son's ears @valerie_jean I'm not saying all babies will have ear problems but my grandmother in law is a nurse and she advised us against laying our son in the tub for those reasons.

I would lay my dd with washcloths underneath her head to pad her head. But I typically used one of those little sink flowers until she was able to sit up. That's how my mom did with all of us and we were fine. But definitely stay with any baby. I still stay with my 2yr old because of the drowning risk. She has decided to lay down on the bottom of the tub on her back, so I put less water so she can't go all the way under if she's laying down. Nerve wracking though!
