There are medical reasons for 3D occasionally but that's not a common thing to get. Not sure why your doctor would tell you that 😶

Me either, she's not new there so idk. The packet they gave me my first visit said they did the 4d with a DVD as a part of my delivery package, it didn't say it was optional so I don't know. Either way I'm gonna get the 4d one in a few weeks because I think it would be a great keepsake since this might be my last baby.

What packet?? That sounds like a boutique place that does the ultrasounds but you mentioned your doctor first....so now I'm completely confused

They gave me a folder with info packets about what's all included with my delivery, bios of all the doctors , things they offer, etc. Thats how I first found out they even did 4d . So I asked my ob last visit if this appt would be my 4d ultrasound and she said no 3D that 4d was an extra package for souvenirs. The us tech told me standard is 2d unless you pay extra and the it's 4d if the baby is moving and only 3D if the baby isn't cooperating ( only difference is 4d shows movement to the 3D) @phinnybinz

Ok, makes sense. I have heard of them offering that with paying extra.

I got told by a friend, the it is basically something they do now. I don't know why they didn't for you. I just didn't want to know what she looked like, but I know now my oldest has a twin.

It just sucked finding out last minute that 3d was extra, I was disappointed but I get it. They need to tell ppl that up front. I think it'll be worth the money though so I'm gonna do it. My deductible's been met for the year for my insurance so I don't have any other delivery costs so that helps :) @phinnybinz I thought it was something they just did now too, everyone I know had a 3D one at 20 weeks, idk why I didn't but I got to see the baby and he's healthy so that's all that matters :) I'm sure it was exciting seeing your daughter! Yeah she is, because my two middle.children look alike. LOL. I am glad your baby is healthy too, thats always great.
