What do you think would be the biggest challenges/hardest parts about someone staying with you after your baby is born (like on due date week). It would be my 17 year old stepdaughter and her boyfriend. We would set them up in the basement so they would have their own space. Also, my daycare of 5 kids will be continuing to run full time (I have hired someone to run it for me for a month) so there will be a lot of people in my house at a time when I need peace and quiet. I will not be up to cleaning or making meals. My husband will be back at work as soon as we are out of the hospital so he won't be around to help out during the day.
Thoughts everyone????

Wow your not going to get much rest during the day. I hope your step daughter and boyfriend can help you out while your husband is at work.

I personally couldn't imagine all of that going on while recovering/adjusting to a new baby! I don't know what options you have, but could the daycare be situated somewheres else for the month that someone is taking over? It would give you the quiet time you need with the new baby & your daughter before you start back with the daycare. If so, your stepdaughter could help you out with your daughter until you get a routine going while your hubby works. I hope everything works out for you!!

My daycare helper will be doing everything with the kids so I will just have the baby to focus on! She will have them outside as much as possible and they all nap for 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon so that's a bonus! I just hope that people want to help instead of cause me more stress lol @ev14 @kitty10

wow. I purposely asked my hubby's family from the states to come up a few weeks after my lil one is born so we have time to settle and adjust. I could not imagine having to deal with all of that 😕

My first pregnancy I wouldn't let anyone come stay with us but this time I'm a little bit more comfortable....just hope that everyone helps out and makes things easier for me because I refuse to do cleaning or cooking for everyone lol 😝 @tlistboom

I think your step daughter will probably want to bond with the baby so I think she would be a huge help for you. that all depends on your family dynamics. I agree lay the law down before hand for sure.

at 17 maybe she would be willing to help you. even just to pick up some meals at the store or a little cleaning. If your husband is at work might be nice to have that extra person around.

Yes I really hope she will be helpful and we told her all the rules on the phone last night, but we will sit down with them on their first day and explain them again 😊 @starting_over39 @tlistboom @sarah433
