If your husband was to go in after having a child he would have to give you full custody. I assume it would be the same if the mother went in. I think it's because of all the benefits they give you. They don't want people joining just to get everything for their children. I live in a military family and I just found out about this from my mom because my boyfriend was considering going it but she said it would be difficult because he would have to give me full custody while he was away.

No. I seen people get in all the time who married with kids. It would be harder if you was single parent.
