Which sucks... My c section is schedule for Friday n I was told I couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight then because of military I have to call the birthing unit at 5am to find out what time to be there for the surgery... I'm gonna be miserable

I got to eat that day but liquids to see if I could handle it. and I could so husband with approval went and got us food.

@kaidens_mommy, you can eat right away. They might give u broth and jello first, to see if you can hold it in. I had that too and afterwards they brought me sandwiches. You won't be having a bowel movement until days after the surgery

Mine is scheduled for Tuesday morning :) They let you have ice chips in recovery, but make you hold off eating for a few hours after surgery just in case they have to take you back in.
