My husband watches our kids so I can have a girls night one day on the weekend. I don't see it a problem I'm with them everyday all day.

@mommy_of4, They are with your husband though. My goddaughters mother goes to the bar every weekend and I always see her getting drunk on her snap chat and she is trying to justify leaving her daughter with my mother in law every week.

I mean everyone lives a different lifestyle, so each to their own but I wouldn't do it and I don't. Honestly like what's the point of getting drunk every week, especially when you have children. there comes a time in life when people need to grow up! I understand having someone watch the children here and there so you can enjoy yourself but not every week. I'd rather be with my kids than getting drunk. once in awhile my mil will watch my kids so I can see a movie with my husband and that's like twice a year!

well.....no lol. i get alone time twice a month and my best friend watches my daughter. she had her for a couple days this time and i just got her back an hour ago. she thought my husband and i could use some "us" time bcuz i always have my kids....we dont smoke or drink or anything like that....so in my opinion.....if your guna get shitfaced then no..and i dont think thats too cool....i rarely get me time....and i do believe everyone should have a little time for themselves. idk about the going to a bar part bcuz i wouldnt do it at all...

I definitely think mothers and fathers deserve time to themselves every once in a while but she will leave her daughter with my mother in law for days at a time (sometimes 9-10 days) without even a text to ask how baby is doing, get her back for a week and act like mother of the year and do it again. My mother in law even had her daughter the night she came home from the hospital. I just personally wouldn't want to go out every weekend with children at home. I don't even have kids yet and I rarely go out. Lol I've gone to the bar twice in the last 8 months.

I don't see anything wrong with getting some alone time. me and my boyfriend leave our daughter with my mom for a few hours every other weekend just so we can have some us time and relax a little. my mom loves her time with the baby and it gives us time to focus on us. but I think in the situation your explaining, that's a bit excessive. I could never leave my daughter that long. I won't even leave her overnight. I think the longest we've gone was 8 hours and I was just so anxious to be back home with my daughter.

Coming from a person who's been around that since my Niece and nephew has been born. My ex sil ever since my brother divorced her she's been going out EVERY night of the week, partying, doing drugs, and god knows what else. She leaves them poor babies with anyone that will watch them! Which has came back and bitten her in the ass because my niece (almost 3) now calls the girl who has her the most mommy and she's pissed off because of her doing so.
