Potty training!! How often do I need to ask him if he needs to potty???

I'm currently potty training my son right now I just put him on the potty every hour or so

Agree with @gabrielmom21 put him on there about every hour. Asking is futile (at least it was for me).

take him every half an hr for about a week up to two weeks. after those weeks take him once an hr. I never asked my son if he had to go, I just took him, if he peed he peed if he didn't he at least knew to try. after 2 weeks my son had about an accident a week and now nothing after 2 months. he knows and tells me he has to go every time.

@curvymommy, he will tell me he has to pee, so I take him and he does, but now he will say he has to then sits there and smiles and says I don't have to...

like a game @babynumber2ontheway ? will he have an accident after he does that? it's great that he tells you, I never trusted my son so I just took him whenever I had a feeling he was going to pee himself lol.

pahahahhahahaha!!!! keep him on there for like 10 minutes. are you giving him special drinks like juice and milk and stuff to make him have to go more. the more he goes the better he gets at it. maybe he really does think he has to go at the moment and it goes away lol. either way I'd take him a lot and say "ok let's go potty" and if he says he doesn't have too tell him to at least try.
