I actually have it chronically so at this point I use a suppository 3 times/wk to keep it away (my body doesn't make the good bacteria to fight it off) but in the beginning I'd get either metrogel or cleocin, both are suppositories you'll use for 5-7 nights and yes you get it from ob. Don't get the pills (metronidazole/flagyl) I feel they're not as effective, for me anyway
I did the exact same meds that @bianca_rose did and it knocked it out for me but I only ever had it once. Flagyl made me feel awful so I wouldn't recommend the pills either.

It's really inconvenient. I had to get antibiotics from the doctor for it before it would go away.

What type of treatment did you use @liveitwithlove @bianca_rose? I know there's different kinds. And should I go to my OBGYN?
