I have been anemic my whole life. I just had to keep taking my iron pill and they just watched me a little more closely and I had a couple blood draws throughout my pregnancy but it just makes you tired if you don't stay consistent with your iron pills.

I'm severely anemic. As long as your placenta is doing its job, the baby will be fine. Like the other ladies said, take an iron pill everyday. Depending on how low your iron is, your doctor might want you to take multiple pills a day. I would also take fiber everyday or a stool softener.

I've always been anemic before pregnancy then through my first trimester it went away now in my 8th month its back but just need to take iron pills.
