they won't do an internal exam unless theres a reason, and sweep is usually only offered once your over due xx

@tam77, okay thanks! How will they be able to tell if baby is engaged at all?

They will know if baby is engaged by touching your outside of stomach x

if it's your 2nd or more than baby will not be engaged till labour

I was told whether or not baby was engaging at around 32 weeks I believe...I knew something was happening as at 34 weeks she started to engage and I could feel it..my midwife confirmed it :) I was 4/5ths...then my waters broke at 39 weeks when she was 3/5ths...So they dont have to really be engaged to go into labour xx
