hey ladies! just a question, i read online that co-codamol arent safe to take in last 3 months of pregnancy but the doctor prescribed them to me for my SPD and PGP are they safe and what im reading is rubbish?

I was offered it when I had a chest infection but I chose not to take it. The doctors said paracetamol is safe so when it got really bad I took that. It's strange because some doctors says it's ok but others won't prescribe it...

its because if you have too much the baby can become addicted to it, just like we can xx

ah right i see ok thanks hun , i phoned the midwife just to check she said prescribed co-codamol are ok but self prescribed ones arent x @zaralee71

That's because they will have it down on your records that you are taking it so they know to keep an eye out xx

I had to take them till the end with my last two babies as per consultant advice. Back in the day with my first they used to hand out co proxamol all the time on the antenatal ward where I spent the last 3 months of my pregnancy. Obv now it's banned but under doc advise it's ok
