had any One ever heard of the benefits of not cutting the umbilical cord right away but rather letting the baby stay connected until after the placenta stops pumping???

I have heard of that actually even watched a video of some kind, it makes since to me when they explained it

My hospital always does that .. Wether it's normal or c section they wait until the cord has stopped pumping to cut it ..

Extra benefits is iron, baby gets those extra blood cells, increases blood volume to baby......
