i cant sleep with our puppy. i got her for my husband but since he works nights shes been sleeping with me n cuddling with me. she has helped me with my depression n anxiety. shes 2 sweet. now today i saw tapeworms on her poop. obviously i wont sleep with her now that i knw. but she cried not being able to jump in bed with me i called my husband crying so hard cuz it breaks my heart. i made her bed right on the floor next to me but i knw shes sad n im sad. ima get her meds tomorrow and make an appointment for 2 weeks to get a fecal test n make sure they are gone. i had already gotten rid of her fleas she came with. so now the worms... my poor star. i feel so bad i cant sleep. i keep looking over at her

I'm a Professional Pet Groomer, yeah she needs medicine, that comes from her swallowing fleas. Be careful, they can keep coming out of her rear until she gets medicine. she'll be fine and so will you good luck

Aw poor baby, it's not very common for a owner to get tapeworms from their dogs you have to ingest a flea that has tapeworm to get it. So if the fleas are gone you should be okay. The little rice grain are gross but they are just segments of dead tapeworm. But I know it can be yucky to deal with but just from personal experience I have never seen an owner get it from there dog in the 5 years I've worked in the vet field . Maybe she can just sleep on a towel so she doesn't leave the segments on your bed?

@nygirl3rdbabymiami, yea i see them coming out. i just got her a few days ago i didnt see any signs until yesterday. but i knw for sure she needs meds. @alyssabrittany i knw but with my luck i will sumhow get them. so far looks like no more fleas but ima make sure. and ima get her meds. just the thought of that stuff in my bed has me gagging. i changed sheets n all. n its that she cuddles right up to me. she likes coming up laying on my arm and all. ima just get rid of them and hope soon she can sleep with me. shes been my dose of medicine. shes such a cutie.

well I 've been grooming for 18yrs . if you can wash her in warm water with dawn dish soap (only the blue one works for this) or if she s over 4months old Use Adams flea shampoo wet her warm water head to tail, and lather it on let her sit about 2o min, with it On her use a small comb even a dog with short hair you'll be able to see flea poop on her, towel dry her good and use a hairdryer not to close to her skin so the heat can kill it but,on a moving puppy won't be ro easy for her to dry (put her on a table top,counter ,top of washing machine and keep a leash on her during her bath and blow dry and last thing put Towels around you . (it will get wet&slippery;)

@nygirl3rdbabymiami, hey yes i got her the adams one. she was actually a good girl. she stayed still and they were coming off dead. so far i dont see anymore on her but im reapeating it tomorrow again. i didnt use the hair dryer ima do that this time. im going to get her meds now for the worms she got. poor baby she was so sad not to sleep with me
