Yea I just dropped my iPhone in a big puddle by a pool the screen completely stopped working so I just put it in a bag of rice for two days, let the battery die in there, then took it out and plugged it in and it works perfectly. Just try to leave it for at least a whole day without taking it out and trying to see if it works.

Take it apart and put it in a bag of rice over night. It will absorb all the moisture, you will be phoneless for a few hours, but its worth it
I once dropped my phone in a pot of water, and I mean it was dunked it the water. I put it in rice overnight, and wa lah next morning, good as new. :)

Thats ok, power it off, and place it in the bag of rice. It helps to take it apart if possible, but it will help it absorb the moisture either way
