welcome Finn A. Hewitt!!! born 9lbs 10oz Friday June 24th. this has been a whirlwind of a journey that was worth it because of this big man at the end. went into the hospital for a scheduled c-section at 6am. around 7 his heartbeat dropped dramatically so they started preparing me early. I went through excruciating pain with them trying 4 times to get the needle in the right spot for the spinal tap. it didn't take them long to get him out and I cried when I first heard him cry. all the problems and pain created such a big healthy baby. 45 minutes later my blood pressure and heart rate was through the roof and I was hemorrhaging. for the second time in 2 hours doctors and nurses swarmed around me. a blood clot the size of a football caused even more pain as they tried to get it out. 2 blood transfusions and lots of pain pills later I'm finally in the clear. (my long birth sorry and journey as a surrogate)
