Has anyone had any experience with severe allergies? My husband as been in the hospital since Monday with tonsillitis & pharyngitis. The drs had NO idea what could cause this in a healthy 31 yr old male. They blamed it SOLEY on hs allergies & told me to get rid on my CAT...who is like my child 😭😭 However, I moved back in with him back in Feb and this starts NOW? If he was severely allergic, don't you think the symptoms would have happened IMMEDIATELY? Keep in mind, he is also a Respiratory Therapist, who goes to peoples NASTY ASS HOUSES and inhales whatever is floating in the air....can't just be my cat. I feel like the Dr. is singling out my CAT because they have nothing else to attribute it too.

yeah.. sometimes people develope allergic reactions... have him see an allergist to see what he is allergic to. i wouldn't recommend abandoning my husband over a cat.

@lilfree16, i would never abandon my husband. He is on allergy shots but he's at a maintenance level now. His allergist never said anything about getting rid of my CAT specifically. I think the dr in the hospital had nothing to attribute his illness to otherother than allergies....which is not right. He has never has tonsillitis before. It could be viral or bacterial.....if it was as bad as they said, he would have gone into anaphylaxis. But his airway remained open this entire time.
