Ugh. We switch my dog from the flea shampoo for two weeks because it dries out my dogs skin, and what do I find? FLEAS. Because that's definitely something I wanna deal with right before my kid is born. I've never gotten rid of an animal and I really don't want to, but God. between her smell, her shedding, and now her fleas, I don't want my newborn daughter anywhere near this dog. I'm at a loss for what to do. She isn't even my dog, but I'm the one who has to take care of her because David won't do it. He doesn't bathe her, feed her, anything. She's so stressful, though.

Regular Dawn dish soap! It will kill them with one wash 🤗

@jennatess we tried that last time she had fleas and she had an allergic reaction. her skin is too sensitive. everything either dries it out or it gives her hives.

she gets fleas because we let her outside to use the bathroom, and our neighborhood has about a thousand stray cats who like to hang around our house specifically bc our old roommates would feed them. she isn't afraid of cats and she doesn't chase them, she doesn't even recognize that they're there, so they don't run off when they see her.

Try Earth Pet if you can. It's only at pet stores, and it's $20.00-$25.00 but, there's no dyes or scents added, and it's completely hypoallergenic. My chihuahua is the same way; allergic to EVERYTHING, and this works great for us! The Dawn soap we use when I volunteer at the shelter.

@jennatess I think I'm just gonna go back to the flea and tick stuff because I'd rather have a dog with dandruff than a dog with fleas. 😕😕

we can't afford to take her to the vet at the moment either because I'm not able to work so we can't even see about medication.
